What's a domain?

It's the address of your website, like yourbakery.com. Your shop at shop.yourbakery.com and your blog at blog.yourbakery.com come with it. You pay once for the domain, and Pingerer watches everything about it.

One domain includes
  • Up to 10 addresses on it (www., shop., app. and so on)
  • Uptime, SSL, domain expiry, DNS change and email setup checks
  • A main uptime check on each address, plus 3 more (a ping, a port or another page)
  • 5 heartbeats for backups and scheduled jobs (every 5 more count as another domain)
  • A server you watch by its IP address counts as a domain too
  • Each multi-step check (log in, add to cart...) counts as a domain of its own

The price per domain

Each domain is priced by the band it falls in, so the price per domain only goes down as you add more. For example, 50 domains cost 10 × $0.90 + 40 × $0.30 = $21 a month.

Domains Price per domain, a month
1 to 10 $0.90
11 to 100 $0.30
101 and up $0.25
  • The smallest bill is $5 a month, which covers up to 5 domains. Why there's a minimum.
  • Fast checks, every 30 seconds instead of every minute, add 10% for the domains that have them.
  • Pay yearly and a year costs 10 months' worth: 2 months free.

Pay

You pay for the domains you're actually watching, worked out the same way each month. Prices are in US dollars, before tax.

You vs them

What you'd pay a month for this many websites. At every size here, Pingerer costs less.

Websites Pingerer UptimeRobotBetter StackPingdom
5 $5 $10$34$18
10 $9 $10$34$18
50 $21 $22$59$78
100 $36 $41$84$149
200 $61 $77$134$290
500 $136 $179$284$680

Their price is their cheapest plan that fits, billed monthly, from their pricing pages on October 22, 2026. They charge per monitor (Pingdom says per check), which is one check on one site, and we've counted just one monitor per website. That flatters them: each Pingerer domain includes uptime, SSL, domain expiry, DNS and email checks. UptimeRobot and Better Stack also have free plans that cover more websites than ours, without some of these checks. See the side-by-sides. Their names are trademarks of their owners; we aren't affiliated with them.

Why so cheap? We price on what it costs us.

Pingerer's prices start from its bills: servers in Germany, checks from New York, Toronto and Singapore, email and text delivery, card fees and backups. On top of that is enough to pay the person who builds and supports it.

Pricing questions

What counts as a domain?

A domain is a web address you own, like yourbakery.com, together with its subdomains, like shop.yourbakery.com. Each domain includes up to 10 addresses, every kind of check (uptime, SSL, domain expiry, DNS changes and email setup), a main uptime check on each address plus 3 more uptime checks (a ping, a port or another page) and 5 heartbeats. Only domains with checks running count; paused ones don't.

Do subdomains cost extra?

No. www.yourbakery.com, shop.yourbakery.com and blog.yourbakery.com all belong to yourbakery.com, up to 10 addresses on one domain. A different domain, like yourbakery.ca, is a second domain.

What about a server I watch by its IP address?

A server watched by its IP address, like 203.0.113.10, counts as one domain, with the same checks included.

How do heartbeats and multi-step checks count?

Each domain includes 5 heartbeats. Past those, every 5 more count as one more domain. A multi-step check (log in, add to cart, pay) counts as a domain of its own.

What happens if I go over the free plan?

Nothing is deleted. The free plan watches 1 domain, so Pingerer won't start checks on another until you upgrade. If you move from Paid back to Free, the newest domains over the limit are paused, and upgrading again starts them.

Will my bill change when I add or remove domains?

Yes, from your next billing date. You always pay for the domains you're watching, never for a bigger plan than you need.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes. Choose either when you subscribe, and switch later from Billing › Change plan. Yearly costs 10 months' worth for 12.

Can prices go up?

Price cuts apply to you straight away. For an increase we email you at least 30 days ahead, and the new price starts from your next renewal after that. Founding members are never raised.

What's a founding member?

The first 100 paying accounts keep the price they signed up at for as long as they stay subscribed. 100 places are left.

How do texts work?

Paid includes 25 texts a month. Each alert is one text, and a phone call for downtime is two. If you run out, packs of texts never expire: 100 for $2 and 500 for $8.

Are taxes included?

Prices are in US dollars and don't include tax. Where tax applies, it's added at checkout and shown on your receipt.

Do you offer refunds?

Payments aren't refundable, except where the law says otherwise. If something went wrong, contact us and we'll look at it fairly. You can cancel any time, and your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for.
