UptimeRobot is one of the best-known uptime monitors, and its free plan is generous: 50 monitors checked every 5 minutes, and you're allowed to use it for your business. If all you need is to know whether a page loads, it's hard to beat.

The difference is what you're paying for. UptimeRobot charges per monitor, and a monitor is one check on one site. Pingerer charges per domain, and each domain includes its uptime, SSL certificate, domain expiry, DNS and email setup checks. So one website on Pingerer is several monitors on UptimeRobot.

Their price is their cheapest plan that fits, billed monthly, counting one monitor per website, from their pricing page on October 22, 2026. Ours is the price list today, worked out the same way as on our pricing page.

Where UptimeRobot is the better fit

  • You only need to know a page is up, for free. Their free plan watches 50 monitors; ours watches 1 domain, with every check on it.
  • You want checks every 15 seconds. Their Scale plans go that fast. Ours go to every 30 seconds.

Where Pingerer is the better fit

  • You want everything about a site watched, not just the homepage. SSL, domain renewal, DNS changes and email setup come with every domain, on the free plan too.
  • You look after lots of sites. The price per domain goes down as you add more, and your whole team and white-label status pages are included.
  • You want plain-English alerts that say what failed and what usually fixes it.
